HOMELESS GALLERY is still recruiting! We need YOU!

Homeless Gallery is coming to Dublin this July

The rules are simple.
Are you a photographer or photography-relatred artist that wants to exhibit his/her works without drying the pocket out for expensive galleries?
Then come to D-Light Studios and be a part of Homeless Gallery.
Rules:
  • anyone can exhibit their works
  • only photography related works can be presented
  • no restriction as of what kind of works to exhibit
  • no censorship, no guardianship, no selection, nothing, nada, zero!
  • you decide what you want to put on walls, we let you do that!
  • no restriction as of how many pieces can one exhibit
  • the only restriction is the artspace and artists’ imagination. surprise us!
  • artists are the ones responsible for hanging the works on walls and ceilings and stairs and .. wherever they want to place it!
  • it’s all about photography, integration of Dublin’s photography community and fun

A full day from 10am – 4pm where top fashion photographer Agata Stoinska will guide you through a working photo shoot by first teaching you how to communicate effectively with your stylist and hair and make up team.

Then Agata will show you how to get the best from your model by putting her at ease and instruction on posing.

The day consists of two seperate set ups, firstly a natural Calvin Klein style set up with your first model, then a high fashion look with studio lights with a second model.

If you are looking to break into the world of fashion photography then this one day workshop is a must for tips, tricks and to get your portfolio started.

Actors Headshots at D-light Studios!!!

D-light studios is offering a full day to provide headshots courtesy of top photographer Agata Stoinska.

On Thursday 4th March Agata will be shooting beautiful black and white headshots for anyone in need of an updated image.

All you have to do is contact the studio to book a slot anytime between 9:30 and 5:30 for a professional studio headshot.

The images taken will be posted to an online gallery for you to choose your two favourite shots, and your images will be sent on disc and hard copy to you or your agency, whatever you prefer.

This unique offer is available for only e100 to be paid on the day.

This includes a portrait set-up photoshoot, two black and white images of your choice, digital processing, post production and a c.d. of your shots.

One to One Tutorials

Book now for a one to one tutorial with top fashion photographer, Agata Stoinska.

During your hour and a half session, Agata will give a full critique of your portfolio, exploring the areas you may wish to develop or strengthen. Aesthetically, Agata will cover composition, pose, lens choice, depth of field and getting the best performance from your model.

Other topics include business strategy, sourcing a styling team, getting the best shots on a no-budget shoot, photographic exercises and both lighting and shooting techniques. Photoshop and retouching tips will also be covered in this tutorial.

In addition to the one on one tutorials, Agata is available for a photoshoot tutorial where she will guide you through a test shoot with a model, stylist, hair and make up artist and coach you on the codes and practises of professional fashion photography. Personal Assistant Needed

Have you got what it takes to be a personal assistant?

D-light Studios is currently on the lookout for a personal assistant for top fashion photographer, Agata Stoinska.

An ideal assistant should be extremely versatile and is expected to travel with Agata to any meetings, photo shoots or industry events she may be attending but also must be willing to contribute to the up-keep and daily business of her studio.

Other qualities expected for this job include:

  • Fluent English
  • Organized and punctual
  • Excellent communication skills and phone manner
  • An interest in both photography and Adobe Photoshop programmes
  • Adequate computer skills and a knowlede of Windows programmes
  • Good common sense, intuition and foresight
  • Friendliness and the ability to mix well with others

This post will begin on an intership basis until training induction is complete.  A working package will be discussed based on training success.
