Artdiversion presents Bizarro 2.0 Dublin at D-light Studios

On Saturday 6th March, D-light Studios along with The Room at Andrews Lane Theatre will play host to Bizarro 2.0 a multidisciplinary music and performance event incorporating sound, speech, visuals and dance.

With its premiere on 6th March and a follow up date on 17th April, this Spanish born initiative will showcase a live music show, D.J. and visual sets, dance improvisation, contemporary lectures and street art. The aim of Bizarro 2.0 is to challenge people to see music from a different point of view.

Starting in D-light Studios at 7:30 pm, events will include contemporary lectures with D.J.s Mark Duchi and Eduardo Canseco, the launch of Artdiversion’s book Psycho-bunker, an exhibition of street pictures by Noema Aparicio, a dance performance from Monika Bieniek, an artistic performance from Susan B, and presentations of the Life festival in Dublin with festival founder Fernando Tomas and also the S.O.S. 4.8 festival in Spain with Cultural Networks Researcher Domingo Sanchez Zarza.

The show will continue in Andrews Lane Theatre from 10pm – 3am with acts such as Eduardo Canseco, D.J. Péppé and Domingo Sanchez.

Tickets for this unique event are priced at €10- this covers entrance to both D-light Studios and The Room at Andrews Lane Theatre. Tickets available to buy at D-light Studios, 46 North Great Clarence Street, Dublin 1 or email artdiversion@gmail.com

‘SHE’ this week at D-light Studios

Don’t forget; this week at D-light Studios is the exhibition ‘SHE’, a joint exhibition of 6 Artists – women, whose aim is to show women’s art but most of all to disclose the nature of women in the World today. This is also an experiment and questions how a woman sees another woman, what attracts and repels her. The exhibition is applicable to both genders, we can discover something about ourselves in this very mysterious femininity.

During the exhibition and opening the visitors will enjoy various artistic forms such as paintings, graphics, drawings, photography, collages, sculptures, and theatre performances, live music and a DJ.

Opening Night: Friday 13 Nov

Time: 7pm

SHE: Upcoming Exhibition at D-light Studios

SHE is a group exhibition of 6 women artists coming together to explore what it means to be a ’she’ in this world today.
Working through the mediums of painting, photography, drawings, installation and sculpture, to express how women perceive themselves, their relationships with each other, their worries and joys.
Exhibiting artists are; Julita Jaroszuk, Kinga Hofman, Magda Cwik, Agnieska Szot, Anna Mulvihill and Catherine Ryan.
All are welcome to the opening night, Friday November 13th at 7pm.
There will be a special theatre performance by La Tortura, followed by music with The Roadside Waltz and dj Mat Jazz, keeping you entertained until 10pm.
The exhibition runs all weekend from 9am to 6pm, but the real fun is on Friday!

Playgroup June ‘09

Our last event had some super music courtesy of band Fifteen Minutes and D.J.s from Alias Empire, a perfect end to a glorious bank holiday weekend! Playgroup is taking a little break for the Summer months, but we promise to be back with a bang come September!!! Here’s a few shots of Tomek doing his thing and a few gems from the photobooth….

Whether you’re a journalist, a graphic designer, a make up artist or a painter we want to see you at the studio!

Cet creative with the photobooth, artist’s corner, live music and a chance to meet some lovely people!

This month’s live band is none other than Fifteen Minutes playing a mellow set while you network your socks off!

Creative Get Together II…Belated Pics!!!

Apologies for being such bold bloggers! We finally got our mitts on some photos of the last Creative Get Together, what a great night! We had hairstylists, photographers, d.j.s, musicians, writers, artists, designers, consultants, politicians, sound engineers, architects, cinematographers….the list went on!

A big huge thank you to everyone who helped out on the night, especially Bren Crowe who played an incredible set! We want him to play here all the time- even if it’s just in the office on admin days!

We are looking forward to having another get together soon, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!!  In the meantime, here’s a few shots of the last night…

Kerry Fashion Weekend

Scene by Scene is on the move! After proudly gracing the walls or our studio, Agata\’s latest body of work is travelling to Tralee to take part in Kerry Fashion Week\’s Fashion and Photography Exhibition. The show, which is hosted by the Fels Point Hotel and will be open to the public from the 17th – 19th April. So if you missed Scene by Scene in Dublin, check it out in Kerry!!
